Bed Among the Lentils starring Rose Henderson

Bed Among the Lentils starring Rose Henderson

About the show

Parish life will never be the same again.
Meet The Vicar, His Wife and The Grocer. Jealousy, lust, redemption and a grocer with "lovely teeth". Bennett at his brilliant, biting best.

One woman. One monologue. Rose Henderson (Father Ted, The Miracle Club, Modern Love) is Susan, the vicar's wife, in Alan Bennett's wickedly funny 'Bed Among the Lentils'.

Oscar nominee, Tony and Bafta winner Alan Bennett weaves a tale of three people and a congregation of the Vicar’s ‘fans’, as Henderson's 'Susan' catches a glimpse of life as it should be.

“Henderson [is] skittish and spirited [her] stage presence wins you over ... perceptive and poetic ... vivid symbolism ... well shaped … accomplished storytelling.”
— Irish Independent
“Rose brought the rector’s wife to life with such honesty, vulnerability and humanity, I was deeply moved.”
— Audience Member
