Blanchardstown Brass Band Bicentenary Celebration
About the show
Blanchardstown Brass Band, one of the oldest bands in Ireland, invites you to celebrate their bicentenary in this free concert celebration, supported by Fingal County Council. The concert will include a selection of festive music and will feature the premiere of a new composition entitled “Blanchardstown Bicentennial Suite” specially commissioned to mark the 200th anniversary of the Band.
The show will include a short oral history video about the Band including interviews with Band Members & footage taken at our Festival of Brass held last May commemorating our foundation way back in 1826.
Joining the band on this special night is guest solo artist Jenny McCabe, a multi-award-winning singer and actress with over two decades of experience on Ireland's premier stages.
