Celebrating 30 Years of the Musical Instrument Fund of Ireland

About the show

The concert celebrates the vision of the late Professor Ronald Masin, whose belief in the potential of young Irish musicians led him to found MIFI in 1995. Since then, MIFI has placed 16 fine instruments with 112 young musicians, creating a transformational legacy for string players in Ireland.

This is an opportunity to hear the Musical Instrument Fund of Ireland's recipients past and present perform alongside distinguished guest musicians in the gorgeous acoustic of RIAM’s Whyte Recital Hall.

Mozart String Quintet No. 3 in C Major, KV. 515
Brahms String Sextet No. 2 in G Major, Op. 36
Borodin String Quartet No. 2 in D Major, 3rd movement, Nocturne
