What to expect

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season and slow down with our festive calligraphy workshop, where you'll discover the art of beautiful lettering. Perfect for anyone looking to elevate their Christmas cards or start a creative new hobby ahead of the New Year.

Mellor & Rose, a family of women lettering artists will be hosting two festive workshops on Saturday, December 12th at the National Museum of Ireland, Kildare Street from 11AM – 12:30PM or 14:00 – 15:30PM.

This festive beginner-friendly class will introduce you to the core fundamentals of modern calligraphy, including how to hold and use a dip pen, create pressure strokes, develop rhythm and flow, and form letters in a script alphabet. Once you've mastered the basics, you'll move on to creating festive words and phrases, decorative illustrations, and seasonal designs to compliment your Calligraphy.

All materials are provided, so simply come along, relax, and enjoy a creative festive calligraphy experience.
