Paul Howard in conversation with Matt Cooper
Date: Sun 30 Aug
Location: Pavilion Theatre, Dún Laoghaire

Today's children and teenagers are growing up in a world that feels faster, louder and more pressurised than ever. Academic demands, social media pressures and every day challenges can overwhelm them. While we cannot control the wind, we can adjust the sails. In this talk clinical psychologist, UCD professor, RTÉ broadcaster (21st Century Child) and author of Parenting is Child’s Play Dr David Coleman will show how you can help them discover that they can survive adversity, and thrive afterwards.
Drawing on decades of experience, David explores practical ways to support independence and create a home environment where young people feel secure and understood. Delivered with his usual blend of expertise and humour, this talk will offer practical strategies to help children remain emotionally resilient through life's ups and downs. The evening will also include an open-forum Q&A.
