Dublin Song Series: Siobhan Stagg and Dearbhla Collins

Dublin Song Series: Siobhan Stagg and Dearbhla Collins

About the show

Siobhan Stagg, soprano
Dearbhla Collins, piano

Between the Lines is a chamber music series that explores storytelling, history, mythology, and the countless narratives that are told with and through music.

We open the series with Great Expectations, a song recital in exploration of hope, longing and the dreams we carry with us, and the stories of what happens when our imagined expectations are not met.

Siobhan Stagg

Australian soprano,  Siobhan Stagg, praised for her “angelic voice” (Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger) and “ethereal stage presence” (Sydney Morning Herald), is recognised as one of the leading lyric sopranos of her generation. A member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin ensemble from 2013 to 2019, she sang principal roles including Pamina, Tytania and Micaëla before establishing an international career on many of the world’s foremost stages.

A distinguished concert artist, she has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Gürzenich Cologne, Wiener Symphoniker and Staatskapelle Dresden.
