Freddie White is one of Ireland’s most respected singer-songwriters, renowned for his distinctive voice, exceptional musicianship, and superb song interpretation. Born in Cobh, Co. Cork, he began performing professionally at 17 and has been a key figure in Irish music since the 1970s. A founding member of Scullion and later leader of several influential bands, he achieved success with acclaimed albums including Live on Tour and Do You Do. Over a career spanning four decades, White has released 14 albums, toured internationally, and earned praise for both his songwriting and reinterpretation of classic songs, remaining a celebrated figure in Irish folk and rock music.
