Little John Nee is one of Ireland’s most idiosyncratic and compelling live performers. Funny, heartfelt, musical and celebratory, Johnny Gotta Bus Pass is a joyous elder-punk state-of-the-nation address proving that ageing doesn’t mean opting out — it means showing up and playing louder where it matters.

For more than four decades, Nee has created acclaimed theatre works that blend clown, lyrical monologue, original song and quiet anarchy into something unmistakably his own. His productions have toured widely and been adapted for radio, film and publication. Works include The Derry Boat, The Mental, Sparkplug, Tea Dance, Nettle Horse and Zeitgeist Jukebox. Elected to Aosdána in 2016, Nee continues to create performances rich in humour, humanity and wild imagination.
