NCH Presents: INNES

About the show

Innes is a pianist and composer who grew up in Scotland with roots in Clare, a background that remains a strong influence on his playing and writing. A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, he has learnt with a huge array of teachers over the years, absorbing the traditions of an eclectic mix of genres and styles that he continues to bring into his work.  In 2027 Innes releases his own music for the first time, on 251 Records (Martin Hayes, TRM, Mount Alaska). He debuts the material live at the National Concert Hall.

As a composer and pianist, he has performed at All Points East, the Edinburgh Jazz Festival, the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival, the Donmar Warehouse, the Southbank Centre, LSO St Luke's, the BFI and the Barbican.

He now spends his time composing for film, TV and theatre, and performing with various bands and ensembles on tour in Ireland, the UK and overseas. A BPI certified Platinum selling session musician, he works in studios throughout Ireland and the UK.
