Andrew Maxwell headlines a night of comedy at Peacock’s, Swords on Sept 11

The double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and one of Ireland’s favourite storytellers, Andrew Maxwell is returning to his home island to do what he does best – find the funny in everything going on in this crazy world today and, let’s be fair, being damned good at it.

Often referred to in his score of first-rate reviews as one of the most skilful comics of his generation, Maxwell has long been at the top of his game. His expertise in finding the perfect balance between humour and insight in any given situation, his lightning quick wit and his fierce intellect have ensured that he remains the King of Comedy long after he was crowned by Channel 4.

Maxwell’s twenty-plus years of TV appearances include Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, QI, Richard Osman’s House of Games, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, Pointless Celebrities and Live at the Apollo – and is also the recognisable voice behind MTV’s hit show Ex On The Beach. He has even won Celebrity Mastermind which, for anyone who has been in a room with him for more than 5 minutes, will come as no surprise.
