About the event

The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland's Santa Special is a return trip by vintage train from Dublin Connolly to Maynooth, with Santa visiting on board to hear Christmas wishes and selection box gifts for children.

The train is a heritage diesel locomotive hauling the society's vintage carriages, with a snack car serving hot and cold food. The whole trip lasts about two hours: the train reaches Maynooth around 40 minutes after leaving Connolly and leaves again 30 minutes later.

Saturdays 28 November, 5 December and 12 December: 10am
Sundays 29 November, 6 December and 13 December: 10.10am

All tickets are €28, plus a third-party booking fee, on sale from 12 noon on Saturday 7 November. Seat allocations are sent before the trip; groups should book together to sit together.

The carriages date back nearly 60 years and are not wheelchair accessible.
