SDG Week - When Learning Doesn’t Look Like Learning: Understanding Playful Learning in Today’s Primary Classrooms

About the event

What does learning look like in today’s primary school and why might it look very different from the school many of us remember? Sometimes the classroom that looks like it is “just playing” is actually the classroom where some of the most important learning is happening.

In this one-hour session, primary teacher and school leader Gillian Corbally explores what recent changes in the Irish school curriculum mean for children and families.

As part of SDG Week in Dublin City Council Libraries, this is an opportunity for parents to look inside the changing primary classroom, understand the thinking behind new approaches to teaching and learning, and discover why learning can be playful, purposeful and rigorous at every age.
