About the event

Join artist Lucy Hill for a fun, hands-on sewing workshop inspired by her exhibition Colourings. Bring along your own fabrics, textiles, old clothes, ribbons, buttons or other soft materials, and Lucy will help you transform them into a unique handmade softie to take home.

Using Lucy's sewing machines and creative guidance, children and their grown-ups will explore simple sewing techniques, imaginative design and playful making in a relaxed and welcoming environment. 

No sewing experience is necessary, just bring your ideas and materials and enjoy creating together.

Perfect for young makers and families who love designing, crafting and getting creative with fabric and colour.

Booking Notes:
Workshops are designed for children from 3-5 years, though younger and older siblings are welcome to take part. 
Please be aware that Draíocht’s Family Days are not designed for groups. 
All children must be accompanied by an adult … and all adults must be accompanied by a child!

Capacity: 10 children per session + their adults
Session 1: 11am-12 noon
Session 2: 1pm-2pm
