Skills for Life: Women in Business - Find Your Confidence and Voice
About the event
Have you ever walked out of a meeting thinking, "I should have said that". Or watched someone with half your experience take the platform you wanted.
Finding your voice is not about becoming louder, or becoming someone else. It is about knowing what you want to say, saying it clearly, and trusting that it is worth hearing.
Many women in business have the expertise, the experience and the ideas. What holds them back is the voice. In this practical hour in the Central Library, communications coach and broadcaster Aisling O'Rourke shares how to speak with clarity, take up space with confidence, and be heard, in meetings, in pitches, in the media and online.
Aisling will look at the habits that quietly undermine us, the difference between being heard and being understood, and the tools you can use straight away, whether you are pitching to a client, speaking at an event, sitting in front of a microphone, or simply asking for what you are worth.
Expect real examples, straight talking advice and plenty of time for questions.
