About the exhibition

Slow Art encourages us to slow down and spend time looking closely at a single artwork or small selection of works. By giving ourselves the opportunity to look carefully, we can make meaningful connections with art, discover new perspectives and uncover unexpected questions and ideas.

These free, welcoming and conversational sessions invite participants to engage with artworks from IMMA's Collection and Exhibition Programme through guided discussion and shared observation. Rather than rushing from one artwork to the next, Slow Art Sessions create space for deeper engagement, reflection and curiosity.

All are welcome, regardless of experience or familiarity with art.
