Spirits of Meath

About the event

Spirits of Meath Halloween Festival 2026 brings family activities, haunted attractions and autumn adventures to County Meath and the wider Boyne Valley from 2 October to 8 November. Choose a daytime outing with children or an evening of Halloween scares, with events taking place at participating farms, attractions and venues across the region.

The family programme includes pumpkin picking, pumpkin hunts and seasonal farm activities. Highlights include Pooka Spooka at Causey Farm, Halloween activities at Navan Adventure Centre and pumpkin-themed outings around the Boyne Valley. Each attraction runs on its own dates, so check the official programme when planning your visit.

For visitors seeking bigger scares, the evening programme includes Farmaphobia at Causey Farm and After Dark at Emerald Park, where selected rides operate beneath the night sky. These experiences have their own age recommendations and admission arrangements.

The festival also offers a chance to explore the Boyne Valley’s connection with Samhain, the ancient Irish festival marking the end of the harvest and the approach of winter. Local traditions associate the Hill of Ward, also known as Tlachtga, near Athboy with Samhain celebrations.

Dates, opening times and ticket prices vary by event. Browse the official Spirits of Meath programme and follow each attraction’s booking links. Check age restrictions and accessibility information before travelling.
