Summer Programme 2026: Create Your Own Irish Myths & Legends

About the event

Join us in Pearse Street Library for this fun workshop with artist Amy Louise O'Callaghan, which fuses writing and drawing. In this workshop participants will draw on the oftentimes bizarre and magical world of Irish myths and legends to create their own story zines.

You will first be introduced to a variety of Irish myths and legends, some familiar and some that you may encounter for the first time, learning about the history of oral storytelling and breaking down important story tropes such as the hero's journey, fables, animal tales and more. Suitable for ages 10+.
