Join the Goethe Choir for a festive celebration of Christmas music from across the centuries and around the world. This special seasonal concert brings together some of the most beloved choruses, arias, traditional works, and carols, creating an inspiring musical journey from Advent reflection to Christmas joy.

The programme features famous choruses and arias from Johann Sebastian Bach's Christmas Oratorio (BWV 248) and George Frideric Handel's Messiah, two masterpieces that have become cornerstones of the Christmas season. Instrumental brilliance is represented by Antonio Vivaldi's "Winter" from The Four Seasons, while the gentle beauty of Engelbert Humperdinck's "Abendsegen" from Hänsel und Gretel offers a moment of serene contemplation. The choir will also perform Benjamin Britten's Te Deum in C, a radiant work of praise and thanksgiving, to remember his 50th anniversary of death.

Completing the programme is a delightful selection of international Christmas carols from Norway, America, Austria, Britain, and Ireland, reflecting the rich diversity of Christmas traditions across cultures.
