The Kavanaghs: Married With Parents

About the show

Following a SOLD OUT run at The Civic, the announcement of sold-out performances at Galway Comedy Festival, and a phenomenal response from audiences; new Irish comedy The Kavanaghs: Married with Parents is heading to 3Olympia Theatre for a two-week run, from Tuesday 4th to Sunday 16th May 2027.

Tickets priced from €33 including booking fee & €2 restoration levy on sale now with Ticketmaster Ireland

The brand new comedy takes on one of the great realities of modern Irish family life: Generation Stuck — grown adults who thought moving back in with their parents would only be for a few months... until life got in the way!

They’re living in despair (room)

Packed with big laughs, family chaos and razor-sharp observations, The Kavanaghs: Married with Parents is a fast-paced new Irish farce about love, family and the generation that can’t quite leave home.

Al and Ryan only moved back in with his parents for six months. That was six years ago.

Now, with Al’s parents preparing to fly to Germany, the happy couple are finally about to have the house to themselves... or so they think.

As suitcases pile up, secrets unravel and unexpected guests keep arriving, one ordinary weekend in Tallaght spirals into glorious chaos.

At its heart, The Kavanaghs is a comedy about a very modern Irish predicament: adult children living at home, parents wondering if they’ll ever get the house back, and families discovering that sometimes growing up doesn’t necessarily mean moving out.

The Kavanaghs: Married with Parents is the big new Irish comedy you’ll want to bring the whole family to.

Directed by Christine Scarry, the production boasts a top-notch cast of household names, theatre favourites and some of Ireland’s biggest comedy stars.

Written by Al Porter and Karl Spain

Starring Aisling O’Neill (Fair City’s Carol), Phelim Drew (Once, Remembering Ronnie), Al Porter (Perrier Award nominee), Ryan Andrews (Fair City, 3Olympia Panto) and top comics Willa White and Enya Martin.

Between them, the cast brings together stars of Irish television, theatre, panto and stand-up, with solo comedy shows from White, Martin and Porter playing venues including Vicar Street, The Gaiety Theatre, Cork Opera House and the National Stadium the last year alone.

After selling out its first Dublin run and Galway Comedy Festival dates, The Kavanaghs are moving into 3Olympia — and this time, everyone’s invited.

Approximate stage times as follows: matinee shows doors open 1.30pm, show starts 2.30pm; evening shows doors open 6.30pm, show starts 7.30pm.
