Through Their Eyes: Sightsavers Ireland Exhibition Launch

About the exhibition

Sightsavers Ireland launches Through Their Eyes, a new photography exhibition about avoidable and preventable blindness and the interventions that protect and restore sight, to mark World Sight Day 2026. Through photographs and personal stories from across Sightsavers' work, it explores the impact of blindness that could have been prevented.

This is a one-evening launch at the Rotunda Hospital. After it, the exhibition will move to other locations in Dublin and around Ireland over the coming months.

The evening begins at 6pm with refreshments and a tour of the exhibition. The official launch and a panel discussion with Sumrana Yasmin, Simon Bush OBE and photographer Jason Mulikita follow from 6.30pm to 8pm, bringing together eye health, neglected tropical diseases and visual storytelling.

Accessibility: the exhibition is designed so that blind and visually impaired visitors can experience it in different ways, with audio descriptions of the photographs, tactile, raised versions of selected images, and Braille alongside the written interpretation. The launch has Irish Sign Language interpretation throughout, and the venue is accessible.
