YARN 2026: The Gab Sketchbook Workshop

YARN 2026: The Gab Sketchbook Workshop

About the event

The Gab Sketchbook is a storytelling workshop, a place for tellers and potential tellers to play with stories. A place to tell, listen and learn.

There are three main sections:
Audience Participation: The MC (BAT/FAT) facilitates “2 minute tales” — two minutes of impromptu storytelling that everyone in the room is welcome to take part in.

Prepared Stories: Register ahead and tell a prepared story, up to and not exceeding 10 minutes. Please email [email protected] if you would like to tell a prepared story. Places are limited.

Evaluation: The Gab evaluators give individual appraisal of each story and 2-minute tales.

The Gab

The Gab is a vibrant, non-profit storytelling community based in Cork (but open to travel). The Gab is dedicated to preserving, developing and celebrating the oral tradition of storytelling as a contemporary art form.
