Crash Course on Ireland

About the event

**Crash Course on Ireland – Ireland Explained Over a Pint**
Want to understand Ireland while you're in Dublin?
Crash Course on Ireland is a fun and informal two-hour introduction to Irish history and culture, presented in a Dublin pub by two qualified local tour guides.
Over a pint, we take you through the big stories that shaped Ireland – from the Celts, Vikings and Normans through the Famine, 1916, independence and modern Ireland.
Along the way, we also explore the things that make Ireland Ireland: our music, sport, writers, language, pub culture and some of the quirks visitors often notice but don't quite understand.
It's designed for visitors who want to understand the country they're visiting, newcomers to Ireland and locals who fancy brushing up on their Irish history in a much more relaxed setting than a classroom.
**Every Thursday during September and October 2026**
