Gothic Tales by Candlelight | A Halloween Literary Evening in Dublin

Gothic Tales by Candlelight | A Halloween Literary Evening in Dublin

About the event

When the evenings grow darker, some stories are best shared by candlelight…

This Halloween season, step away from the ordinary and join us at Chapter & Vines, an intimate literary salon in Dublin 12, for Gothic Tales by Candlelight.

An atmospheric evening celebrating dark literature, mysterious stories and the timeless pleasure of storytelling.

Surrounded by books and the gentle glow of candlelight, we’ll explore the darker side of literature through gothic readings, conversation and a little seasonal indulgence.

What to expect:

* Atmospheric gothic and dark literary readings.

* A cosy, candlelit salon setting.

* Seasonal treats to enjoy throughout the evening.

* Relaxed conversation about mysterious stories and gothic literature.

* The opportunity to read aloud, if you wish.

* A welcoming atmosphere for guests attending alone or with friends.

No pressure to participate.

Whether you love gothic novels, classic ghost stories or simply the atmosphere of a candlelit literary evening, you’re welcome to sit back and enjoy.

This isn’t a traditional Halloween party. It’s something a little different — a slower, more intimate celebration of storytelling and the darker side of literature.
