Long Day's Journey by Pan Pan
About the show
Pan Pan return to the stage with Long Day’s Journey – a play which conjures the atmosphere of a whistling morgue offering a theatrical hallucination of gritty family prone issues. The show makes its world premiere at Project Arts Centre, this November.
Inspired by legendary American playwright Eugene O’Neill’s original play, A Long Day’s Journey Into Night, Pan Pan’s new interpretation, Long Day’s Journey, travels further into the sub-conscious hallucinatory world of O’Neill’s original work that spotlights themes of addiction, depression and despair. O'Neill’s poetically titled plays were among the first to introduce into the U.S., drama techniques of realism, earlier associated with Chekhov, Ibsen, and Strindberg.
