New Writing Week – The Administered Death of Mister Yermen Spenstick By Pádraig O’ Connor

About the show

As part of The New Theatre’s New Writing Week 2027, we are delighted to welcome Pádraig O’Connor to present a reading of The Administered Death of Mister Yermen Spenstick.

The Administered Death of Mister Yermen Spenstick is an allegorical drama that explores how fear, bureaucracy, and language erode freedom under the guise of care. Set in a warped hospital where two friends are being held against their will, the play confronts the cost of safety, the seduction of compliance, and the quiet violence of systems that insist they know best.

PADRAIG O’CONNOR
