About the show

The Kildare based Route 66 Big Band are bringing their fabulous Live in Concert show to the Lark for the first time. The Band celebrated 25 years on the road last year and, in response to many, many requests from wedding and corporate guests, decided 10 years ago to bring their particular and unique brand of music to theatres throughout the country with great success.

The Band, with 14 musicians and two great vocalists, provide audiences with a brilliant selection of numbers made famous by Adele, Frank Sinatra, Alison Moyet, Van Morrison and Joe Dolan among others but also some big band numbers for the jazz enthusiasts. Their programme, played with a brilliant big band sound, has an infectious effect on audiences who dance in their seats or if space allows, in front of the stage and calling on more at the end of the evening.

Route 66 have played for the Rose Ball at the Rose of Tralee a number of times, the Cork Jazz Festival and even the wedding of a Lord Mayor of Dublin.
