Seisiún Óige – A Slow Session for Young Musicians

Looking for a gentle, inspiring way to nurture your child’s love of Irish music? Seisiún Óige at The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre offers a unique opportunity for young musicians to gather, play, and connect in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere that is far from the usual pub setting, and close to the heart of tradition.

Each session features a special guest ensemble to guide and inspire young players.

This month, we are delighted to welcome Cluain Tarbh Comhaltas. Eamonn Galldubh and Michaela Murray, who run the Grúpa Ceoil, will be joining us to lead the group

This free one-hour slow session welcomes all instruments and abilities, encouraging creativity and confidence through informal music-making. Light refreshments will be provided, and the atmosphere is warm, inclusive, and rooted in the spirit of community.

Whether your child is just beginning their musical journey or already loves to play, Seisiún Óige is a beautiful way to experience the joy of Irish music together.
