Sightless Cinema Network presents Lost and Found – an evening of audio plays in the dark

About the show

‘Spectacular performance…. a thoroughly immersive experience’ – Meath Chronicle on Sightless Cinema

Sightless Cinema Kildare group perform for the first time in Sightless Cinema Network’s third visit to Riverbank with their latest lively mix of surround-sound audio shorts combining comedy, drama and music.

They present Overboard, a comedy about the misadventures of a blind girl invited last-minute on a Mediterranean cruise by an old schoolfriend. They get in hot water trying to keep their relationship afloat while escaping from CJ the persistent Newbridge computer salesman.

Also on the programme is: Split Time, where a blind runner’s fall fractures more than his ankle, forcing him and his guide to confront some hard truths. ‘Cuckoo’s Lane’ is a housing-crisis comedy about adult children moving home, a misplaced modular house and an out-of- control John Deere tractor. The show includes surprise live audio dramas performed by the blind performers from the Sightless Cinema Network– a firm favourite with audiences.

Now in its twelfth successful year, Sightless Cinema is a collaborative arts project led by director Ciarán Taylor, for people with sight loss to devise and produce audio theatre.

Optional blindfolds are provided to help bring you into the immersive world of Sightless Cinema.
