Cinderella Goes to the Halloween Ball
Date: Wed 28 Oct
Location: The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre, Naul

We are delighted to have Chris and Sara from Bread With Benefits give a Sourdough workshop in The Séamus Ennis Arts as part of our Food Fair.
In this hands on workshop, Chris will explain why we use certain flours and have wholegrain in our bread, talk about ancient grains and do a grain to flour demonstration. Each participant will start with mixing flour, starter and water and how to acheive the right consistency for the perfect sourdough bread. While it sits, Chris will give you a taste of some freshly baked sourdough bread with butter and homemade jam. Chris will also have sourdough crackers for you to taste as well. After the dough rests, it will be ready to put into your own tins.
Each person will go home with a 2lb loaf of sourdough bread or 2 1lb loaves ready to put into the oven. Recipe sheets for sourdough bread and crackers and a starter.
Unfortunately, Chris cannot provide tins, so you need to bring a 2lb loaf tin or two 1lb loaf tins with you for the workshop. Also, if you have your own apron, please bring it along with you too. You can purchase loaf tins on amazon for €8 or they are available from Homestore and More and Woodies etc. or I’m sure one of your friends/neighbours will have one if you don’t have one yourself.
Our food fair is on the same day so you can have a lovely wander around and stock up on delicious goodies to bring home with you too.
