Arvo Pärt’s music of “simplicity, spirituality, and silence is regarded as being universally appealing and enduringly rewarding” (The Guardian). It finds its ideal interpreters in the Grammy Award-winning Estonian choral ensemble Vox Clamantis, led by founder and Artistic Director, Jaan-Eik Tulve.

Celebrated for their “extraordinary purity of sound” (BBC Music Magazine) Vox Clamantis, illuminate Pärt’s meditative masterpieces, from the serene and profoundly meditative choral work Da pacem Domine (intended as a solemn, universal prayer for peace) to the radiant Magnificat, with Gregorian chant and the work of contemporary composers, David Lang and Helena Tulve, revealing the spiritual lineage that shapes his unmistakable voice.

Alex Ross of The New Yorker wrote Pärt has “put his finger on something almost impossible to put into words, something to do with the power of music to obliterate the rigidities of space and time [and] silence the noise of self, binding the mind to an eternal present.”

This is choral music at its most profound, introspective, ancient and modern; an immersive, transcendent musical experience led by Vox Clamantis with Jaan-Eik Tulve.
