The Wicklow Stories Film Festival is based in the ‘Garden of Ireland’ in county Wicklow and is the only independent short film festival on the East Coast. This Film Festival aims to highlight local filmmaking talent, local stories, and Wicklow as a county. 
Established in 2022, this annual, sold out event brings industry professionals as well as film fans to the Theatre in droves and has been an overwhelming success over the past 4 years. Local Press as well as dignitaries have always been happy to grace the red carpet, while filmmakers have an opportunity to showcase unique storytelling and Wicklow landscapes.
This year's festival will hold Live Screenings on Friday 13th November in the Whale Theatre in Greystones.The only mandate for selection is that the short film (less than 22 minutes) was shot at least 60% in Wicklow County or that the film itself, the filmmakers, or the story have a significant and substantial connection to the county. We do not have an age limit for the films, in addition, the films can be publicly available and still eligible for selection.
