EPIC Exhibition - Common Ground: Ireland in the EU
Date: Sat 18 Jul – Thu 31 Dec
Location: EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, Dublin

Explore how Irish people carried their identity with them and shaped the world far beyond Ireland’s borders; from country music to Riverdance, and from literature to science.
If you are one of the 70 million people worldwide who claim Irish heritage, EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is the place to reconnect with your roots. You can visit their Irish Family History centre to find out more.
For Irish visitors, it’s the history you didn’t learn in school. You will leave with a better understanding of Ireland’s story, an enormous pride in the Irish people who carried it across the world and a new perspective on what it really means to be Irish.
EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is winner of Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction three times in a row.
People all around the world can't help but mention that their second cousin once removed was Irish, and this location explains how that came to be.
This interactive room encourages you to listen to stories from more than 300 emigrants to examine the effect of how and why 10 million people left Ireland. Refusing to be a museum with simply another list of long names.
(Along the way, you'll also learn the steps to Riverdance.)
