Family Sourdough Pizza Making Workshop
What to expect
From Soil to Slice - A Family Sourdough Pizza Making Workshop at TSEAC
Did you know that every pizza has a story? Before it reaches your plate, it begins in the soil.
Join us for an interactive family workshop where children and parents will discover the journey of food from the ground beneath our feet to a delicious homemade sourdough pizza. Through fun activities, fascinating facts and hands-on pizza making, young food explorers will learn how healthy soil helps grow healthy food, how farmers care for the land, and why the choices we make can help both our bodies and our planet.
Together, you'll create your own sourdough pizza from scratch and enjoy the fruits of your labour while learning about the amazing connections between soil, food, health and nature.
Children will discover:
- Where pizza ingredients come from
- Why soil is alive and essential for growing food
- How food influences energy, mood and wellbeing
- How farmers grow and care for crops
- Why eating more plants can be better for the planet
- How to make and enjoy their very own sourdough pizza
This workshop is designed to inspire curiosity, encourage healthy food habits, and show families that caring for the planet can start with simple everyday choices.
Come along and uncover the story behind every slice!
- A fun-filled 90-minute hands-on experience
- Ticket Price includes one parent and one child
- Suitable for children ages 5+
