New Writing Week – The Only Car With Wings by Cáit Moloney

As part of The New Theatre’s New Writing Week 2027, we are delighted to welcome Cáit Moloney to present a reading of The only car with wings.
The only car with wings is an exploration into fallible memory, its ever changing presence with siblings, and the idea of collective sin that bleeds from grief. Non-linear in narrative, it resembles drunken recall, where moments are hazy, retrospectively extracting events, rather than directly calling them forth. It is also a comedy (of sorts).
CÁIT MOLONEY
Cáit Moloney is a playwright and Artistic Director of The GAFF.
She won the Patricia Leggett Scholarship for Playwriting, has an MFA in Playwriting with The Lir, residencies with the Pavillion Theatre, Irish Writer’s Centre. Her writing has been performed with Smock Alley, Phizzfest Arts, Ranelagh Arts, One Giant Leap, among others.
