County Library Tallaght

County Library Tallaght

Overview

County Library Tallaght is the largest library in South Dublin County, a bright, spacious building on Parthalán Place in the heart of Tallaght. As well as books for every age it has a Tech Room, the county's local studies research library, two exhibition spaces and The Loft, a space just for young adults.

About the library

The County Library is the headquarters branch of South Dublin Libraries and the busiest place in the county to read, study or join a free event. Regular activities include toddler mornings and English conversation sessions, and the large conference room hosts talks, workshops and outreach events through the year.

The Local Studies research library holds over 10,000 books, newspapers, periodicals, maps and photographs about South Dublin County, a starting point for anyone tracing local or family history.
