Overview

Sean Moore Park is a Dublin City Council park on Sean Moore Road in Irishtown, Dublin 4. Paths cross its open lawns and tree-lined edges, and it connects to Sandymount Strand.

A stone in the park records that it is named after Seán Moore (1917–1986), Lord Mayor of Dublin in 1963/64 and a TD and city councillor for many years.

The park is home to Clanna Gael Fontenoy GAA club, which plays on two floodlit pitches here, and has a nautical-themed playground. The playground was badly damaged in an arson attack in September 2025, and Dublin City Council put the cost of repairs at €200,000 (RTÉ, January 2026).
