Deansgrange Library

Deansgrange Library

Overview

Deansgrange Library on Clonkeen Drive is the second-busiest branch of dlr Libraries. It was the first My Open Library in the Dublin area and is now the most visited in the country, open to members from 8am to 10pm every day, with a sensory room, a meeting room and plenty of study space.

About the library

Deansgrange Library first opened on 2 July 1982 in a red-brick building and quickly became the busiest library in what was then Dublin County Council. It was fully refurbished and reopened on 15 July 2013, and today covers 800 square metres.

Its sensory room can be booked by people with sensory, neurodivergent or additional needs, and the library keeps a local history collection.
