Diamond Park
Overview
Diamond Park is a neighbourhood park on the corner of Gardiner Street Lower and Seán McDermott Street in Dublin's north inner city. It has a children's playground, a multi-use games area for ball games and two outdoor table tennis tables.
Dublin City Council refurbished the park, which stands on the site of former tenement buildings, with more planting and a walking route between its two entrances.
Play and sport
The playground is designed for younger children, while the multi-use games area (MUGA) is used for football and basketball. The table tennis tables are free to use: bring your own bats and balls.
Getting there
Diamond Park is in Dublin 1, with entrances on Gardiner Street Lower and Seán McDermott Street, a few minutes' walk from Connolly Station and O'Connell Street. Mountjoy Square Park is a short walk north, and EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is about ten minutes away on the quays.
