In the Archeology Museum you can discover gold, ceramics and other archaeological treasures found not just in Ireland, but also in the world, see Celtic Iron Age metalwork, one of them to be mentioned Ardagh chalice, the Tara Brooch, the Derrynaflan Hoard, medieval objects and Bronze Age jewellery. You can also learn how Vikings ironed their clothes, first Irish fish was caught 9000 years ago and more. The building opened in 1890 and the refurbishments on the exteriors is making sure it will look as good for the 21st century.
Would you like a walk back to the Iron Age and see what the life was back then: all the tools used at home, what women jewellery was like and much more? Then The National Museum of Archeology will transport you there and tell you the story of the ages that formed Irish history.
